Technics have launched a new turntable for the higher-end consumer and as director Hiro Morishita states in a New York Times article, "our concept is analog records for hi-fi listening."
With an expected price point at $2,000 the turntable features many of the same specifications as the higher end model that was released a year ago but differs in the build as it has a slightly lighter platter, a slightly lower torque and an aluminum die-caster plate.
“Listening to records is like tea ceremony, or flower arranging,” said Michiko Ogawa, director of the Technics division. This quote sums up the experience of listening to vinyl and the importance of a high definition turntable.
All prices are in USD.
